Bible Study

We meet weekly on Friday mornings at 10:30am at 38 Church Hill Road to read, study and discuss the bible using a variety of study guides.  We recently completed a study on the Women of the New Testament and are now doing a study of the Book of Job.  Join us for good company, interesting disussions as we too learn and grow in our faith and in our knowledge..  Any questions, call Blanca Sheehan - 426-3253.

Parent Book Groups

There are various book groups throughout the parish community.  Some parents meet at 38 Church Hill Road while their children are in Religious Education classes (Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday 4:15 - 5:15pm) to discuss spiritually oriented books and futher our own spiritual journeys.

Elizabeth Ministry Book Club

THE ELIZABETH MINISTRY BOOK CLUB will be meeting on June 24th at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the book Bringing Down The House written by Ben Mezrich. Come join us. New members are always welcome. Please call Anne Annesley at 364-0676 for information.

WEBS - Women's Enrichment Book Study

Women's Enrichment Book Study is a book group that meets Tuesday mornings throughout the school year. We meet from 9:30-11:00 am. The group decides on a faith based book or Bible Study to read and discuss over several weeks of sessions (depending on the length of the book).

The group is open to all women of the parish who want to further their spiritual development and have a time of fellowship with other women in the parish. Babysitting can be made available if there is a need. We begin with prayer and sharing the "good news" of how we have seen God working in our lives or in our families and then proceed with discussing a chapter or two of the book we are reading. We always end with prayer intentions so that people can bring their needs to the group for prayer.

The group has been taking turns with providing light refreshments and coffee to share with one another. And often times members of the group volunteer to lead the discussion.
Please contact Kristen Renzi for more information.

Catholics Coming Home

If you or someone you know has been away from the Church and has a desire to be reconnected with the Catholic Church, please consider attending "Catholics Coming Home," which will begin Sunday, Sept. 7 from 7:00-8:00 at the Religious Education Office at 38 Church Hill Road. All are welcome.  Please call 426-2333 for more information.

Spiritual Journey

This program aims to reinforce awareness that it is within the context of our daily lives that our spiritual journey is fleshed out. "Spiritual Journey" therefore sets out on this premise through speakers of insight, knowledge, information and spirit to nurture the movement of God's grace in our lives - in our spiritual journey. Each week we realize anew how blessed we truly are as we spontaneously share our faith with one another on the topics presented in such varying ways. The broad scope of topics is both edifying and challenging but never forced. The on-going formation aspect for adults flows freely among the participants and the "speaker of the day". Topics are discussed in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere - each person receptive to the Spirit's subtle action within.

This delightful experience is open to all adults of St. Rose Parish, as well as from other areas (near or far!). Bring your friends, family members or anyone you think may have an interest in growing in their faith and/or spirituality. It can also be intellectually rewarding and practical. We strive to achieve simplicity, clarity and good old common sense in our life with God.

Spiritual Journey Particulars:

Spiritual Journey takes place on each Thursday morning from 10:15 am to 11:15 am (approximately) at 38 Church Hill Rd. (our Rel. Ed. Bld.)

It is handicap accessible.

Sessions run from September through May of each year with time off during school vacation days and major holidays.

Spiritual Journey also provides its participants with warm and friendly fellowship which includes coffee/tea and simple refreshments.

Spiritual Journey is also open to new ideas and suggestions for speakers and subjects to be presented. If you feel you have something you would like to share please contact the Religious Education Office at 426-2333.

Participation in Spiritual Journey is very much a "come when you can" invitation. It works best when we are at our best! No dues, no pressures, just come and rest in the spirit with an open heart and enjoy being with like-minded people.

Together we depend on the Holy Spirit to guide us and feed us....if you do also, you will feel 'at home'.
