The Eighth Day begins the new creation. We are living in the Eighth Day; a phrase used to refer to God's ongoing work of redemption through Jesus Christ in the day that knows no evening (CCC 1166). Jesus came to teach us how to live, suffered and died for our sins, and conquered death through His Resurrection.

The summer of 2012, we will journey into the reality of Christ's redemption and what it means for our lives today! And as we enter into the many challenges we face as Christians today, Isaiah 43:1 reminds us to fear not! Our God, who created us, is calling us by name, offering us the gift of redemption, and claiming us for Himself to protect and love. Join us summer 2012 to dive deeper into this great love!

Steubenville East Youth Conference 2012

Registration is now open for an important event in our St. Rose youth ministry calendar. Each year we join 2500 teens and chaperones from across the northeast to explore our faith. It has been a strong witness to all of us how amazing our Catholic faith truly can be in helping to shape who we are and who we want to be. This will be my 12th trip with our group and each year I am inspired to reach out and encourage as many of our teens to go as possible. We have a great team of youth ministers at St. Rose who work hard each week to help our teens understand how our faith can help them in everyday life. This weekend can be a great start for someone exploring or a great "pick me up" for someone struggling. Please follow the instructions below to register for this weekend. I encourage you to discern this trip through prayer. Make this something you do because you want to experience our faith. I am sure that if you choose to be with us this weekend it will be fun and exciting! Should you have any questions or concerns just let me know. I pray God blesses you and your family as well as all who attend YG at St. Rose and all who are planning this wonderful event to lead teens closer to Christ. - Rodd Blessey - Youth Minister
