The mission statement for the Youth Groups is to provide a Catholic Christian environment for youth and young adults alike which allows them to grow in the truth and love of Jesus Christ and Our Catholic Faith! We do this by means for travel, activities and helping others in our community.
The Youth Group is open to all high school students while the
Junior Youth Group is for those in 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th
grade. The group meets at least once a month for the
Jr. Youth and weekly for the Sr. Youth group to have fun in a safe
environment.

Boy Scouts
The Boy Scouts of America's mission is to prepare young boys to make ethical and moreal choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the value of the Scout Oath and Law.

Cub Scouts
Cub Scouts of Pack 570 - Boys in grades 1-5 learn the basics of the Scout method, learn to meet new challenges, discover and master new skills, and develop strong friendships while having fun. Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts of America provide meetings and activities that help girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives, such as leadership, strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their potential and their self-worth.
St. Rose school currently offers Girl Scout troops from kindergarten through 8th grade, including Daisies, Brownies, Junior Girl Scouts, and Cadettes.

St. Rose Women's Club
The purpose of the St. Rose Women's Club is to promote
friendship among its members through spiritual and social
activities within the parish and to aid in any way to alleviate
needs within the parish. This special club has been a part of
our parish for over 30 years. Each monthly meeting is an
opportunity for women of all ages (current and new members of the
parish) to get together to enjoy interesting speakers and
fellowship. The club meets in the Parish Hall monthly from
September to June (usually the second Wednesday of the month) and
welcomes new members.

Men of St. Rose
Is a parish organization which encourages spirited good will among men by addressing their spiritual and social needs for fellowship. Each meeting is centered upon a spiritual topic, the formal varies from guest speakers, to prayer services and open discussions of parish, Church and social concerns. There is always time set aside for refreshments and camaraderie. We are not a club that requires membership. The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest lay Catholic family service organization. Founded by a parish priest, Blessed Father Michael J. McGivney, curate of Saint Mary's in New Haven and a small band of lay men in 1882 as an organization to help families with the day to day challenges of their time. The Knights of Columbus have grown today to a global organization with more than 1.6 million members doing charitable deeds in 12,000 councils. We welcome Catholic gentlemen of all ages upon their 18th birthday.

Social Concerns
The name "Social Concerns" is self-descriptive. We are concerned with the social, as distinguished from the spiritual, issues in our parish and community. We offer ongoing support to help provide for the earthly needs of individuals in distress. We also are a seed organization, a catalyst for other complementary organizations and events that address local secular problems. Please join us, if you hear the call!........... THE ST. ROSE CARES BOX: sponsored by your Social Concerns Committee, can be found on the altar on specific weekends. Check the weekly bulletin for dates. In the past, your generous contributions have enabled us to help parishioners in great need. God bless you for your love, and please do continue to support those in our community who need our help.....Identification of those in need is important. Parish Nurse Ministry

Pastoral Outreach
The Outreach Ministry Office is seeking your help in identifying
those parishioners who are home-bound or in Nursing Homes, and
those recuperating from surgery or serious illness and cannot come
to church but would like to receive Holy Communion or a visit.
Also, many times a parishioner is in the hospital and we at St.
Rose are unaware of this. Weekly visits are made to parishioners in
Danbury Hospital who list themselves during their admission process
as St. Rose parishioners. parishioners in other hospitals can
be visited if a family member calls the parish and requests a
visit. If you have a family member in any of the above situations
and would like someone to visit, please call Sister Mary Ellen at
the Outreach Office 426-2572, ext. 11. If Sister is out visiting
parishioners, please leave a voice message and she will get back to
you.
The St. Rose Prayer Shawl Ministry was begun in 2002. We knit
and crochet shawls for the sick, sad, lonely and dying of our
Parish. With the support of our Pastor, and many other ministries
in the Parish, we have given away over 900 shawls to men, women and
children. We usually meet the last Saturday of the month, September
through May, at 10:00 a.m. New members are always welcome. If you
are interested in joining us, or want to request a Prayer Shawl for
someone you know who is in need of support and prayers, contact
either Kathleen Chrusciel-Desrosiers at 426-9922, or Sister Mary
Ellen at 426-2572. A $20 donation to cover the cost of the yarn
will help us to continue our ministry.
Altar Angels / Altar Linens
Altar Angels are volunteers who provide cleaning for the
church.
Please contact Audrey Campe 426-6797 if you would like
to volunteer.
Altar Linens are volunteers who maintain the linens for the church.
The CORPORAL used by the Priest upon which are laid the chalice
and wine cups, the PURIFICATOR used by the Special Ministers of the
Eucharist to wipe the rim of the cup after each communicant
receives and the TOWELS used by the Altar Servers during the Mass
are the linens which are lovingly and carefully washed, ironed and
folded time and time again. This is done in the spirit of being a
part of the preparation for the coming of Christ. The service is
highly invisible but the rewards are magnificent!

Garden Angels
This is a group who lovingly cares for the flower beds and shrubs around the church and along the rectory. While this is a full-time job, many hands can make this ministry truly rewarding work. Volunteers can water, weed, and deadhead on any day or time that is convenient for them.
In early April, we have a spring cleanup day to plant early spring blooms, water, weed and spread mulch.
In May we plant annuals, water, weed and deadhead to keep plants looking their best.
All summer it is very important that we water and deadhead.
In early October we have a fall cleanup day to replace annuals with mums and plant bulbs for spring. October is also the best time to trim trees and shrubs.
This is a very rewarding ministry, peacefully spending time caring for God's beautiful creations. It is also excellent therapy for those who need a period of calm in their busy lives.
