Now when you sign-up with SNET for all your calling--or confirm that you're already using SNET All Distance--St. Rose Parish will get 5% of your monthly long distance bill for a whole year. UNITED WAY: DID YOU KNOW that your UNITED WAY COMMITMENT can be applied to St. Rose Parish, St. Rose Religious Education, or to St. Rose School? All you have to do is fill in a blank on your pledge/gift card and specify that you want your gift designated to our parish, including the full name and address: Saint Rose of Lima Parish or School or Religious Education Program, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown, CT 06470. |

Did you know that if you contribute long-term (held more than one year) appreciated securities to St. Rose you get a double income tax benefit? You get a charitable deduction for the stock's full fair market value and you completely avoid capital gains tax on the stock's appreciation. For example: If you paid $300 for stock now worth $1,000, you can avoid capital gains pal tax on the $700 profit and deduct the full $1,000 contribution.
